     Mark J from Sydney, Australia
As a non-African with few expectations about wildlife, I was blown away by the variety of animals I saw over a 3 days period. What an amazing place, great food, down by the river. Definitely a place for a return visit.

    Sharon K from Basel Switzerland
An amazing holiday, amazing Location, Great Service, Good Food and Expert Fishing guides - a wonderful place to unwind, relax and enjoy true Africa. A big thank you to the Maqueda team for pulling off such a great combo.

Bob F from Southampton, United Kingdom
We enjoy this wonderful place so much that we have been back every two years since first discovering it back in 2008. No change! A wonderfully warm welcome; superb hospitality at all times, whether in camp, on the river, or on a game drive with the superb staff; and fabulous menus delivered by chef Keegan Corken and his team. We can' t wait for the next visit!

    Mary C from Poulsbo, Washington
I have stayed in hotels and lodges all over the world and this is the very best! Natalie and her staff were incredible. Our tent was tastefully done and so what if there was no air conditioning, we could just step out on our deck and take a dip in our private pool only a few yards from the river. The hippos carrying on all day and night and the elephants "visiting" made this such a special place.

We loved everything about our experience at Lower Zambezi Lodge. Natalie and her staff were awesome. The food was some of the best we have ever had. Totally gourmet and healthy. The excursions, especially the game drives, were over the top special. Sure, no AC in the rooms, but elephants in the yard and hippos close by. What is not to love! End of dry season is a great time to go to see animals everywhere you turn!
