Southern Africa Flying to the regionIf you are travelling from overseas one needs to fly into Johannesburg in South Africa and then catch a connecting flight to one of the International Airports in Victoria Falls, Livingstone or Chobe. The flight time from Europe to Johannesburg is approximately 10 hours. The majority of the flights travel through the night getting you to Johannesburg in the early morning, leaving a comfortable amount of time for your +/- 2hour connecting flight. In most cases you can be at your hotel for lunch.

General WeatherThis region is comprised of two distinct seasons. It experiences its summer from mid-August to mid-April. The summers are generally hot (28-35 degrees) during the day (especially in October) and warm (20-25 degrees) at night. Rain comes from November to March. The winters are warm by day (20-25 degrees) and cool (5-15 degrees) at night and in the early mornings.
