Botswana

CHOBE            OKAVANGO DELTA & LINYANTI
Botswana - home to some of the world's best safaris
The Chobe and the Okavango Delta have the very best that Botswana has to offer.  Botswana has some of the most pristine environments in Africa with approximately 17% of its land surface protected as National Parks or Game Reserves.

Both the Chobe and the Okavango are located in the North of Botswana, above the main chunk of the Kalahari Desert that lies to the south.  Chobe is home to the World's highest concentration of African Elephants and the Okavango is the globe's largest inland delta.  Both areas are teeming with wildlife and you are guaranteed to have a special safari experience by visiting either of these destinations or combining them both in your itinerary.
Getting around Botswana
Once in Botswana the very best way to move from place to place is by light aircraft.  Whilst the thought of this can be scary for some, the truth is that if you are well prepared this could be one of the most exhilirating parts of your trip.  The views and sense of discovery that one gets from flying over this vast and colourful landscape, dotted with herds of elephant and other wildlife can be extremely rewarding.  Landing on a gravel airstrip in the middle of the bush is a very special experience.  Waiting for you at the airstrip will be a comfortable open air 4x4 safari vehicle driven by a professional safari guide ready to impart a fascinating array of knowledge.
