Zimbabwe - It's Great News!
So Zimbabwe is in the news and 90% of the time it's for all the wrong reasons.  Yes the country has been going through some very tough times, but the truth is that this country is as safe, if not far safer for tourists than many countries in Africa.  The infrastructure on the ground is still very much intact and is growing.  The willingness and professional readiness of the locals to cater for high end tourists is there in abundance.  The toughest thing affecting the Zimbabwean tourism industry in the past has been the difficult economy.  Now the introduction of a multiple currency system, the US Dollar and South African Rand being the main players, has meant that tourism businesses can function normally.  All major credit cards are accepted, shortage of food items in hotels is a thing of the past and most importantly communication systems are where they should be.
Zimbabwe - Incredible Diversity and Devoted Service
This country must have one of the most diverse and picturesque range of landscapes on the planet.  And it's all within a relatively small area too, with Zimbabwe being comparable to Japan in size.  In the north the Zambezi River stretches east from a  mighty waterfall through a hauntingly beautiful gorge, opening into a vast lake wilderness and is squeezed again between shear rock before flooding the legendary pools. The country's centre is covered by giant rocky outcrops and the expansive home of the big five.  And in the far east there is a mountain paradise separating the country from Mozambique that is home to one of the world's best golf courses.
