Savute is known as the “mystery” region in Chobe National Park due to the dramatic changes to its environment. Dry for almost 30 years, this area has recently undergone a startling transformation with the Savute channel flowing once again. Not only is it flourishing with wildlife, it has reverted to its natural lush and marshy state.
